They would be very willing to take groups as their own children have all been involved with the DofE scheme. This is a very small site with basic facilities- toilets, basins and cold water. They would probably have space for between 8 and 12 small tents but would need advance notice as they would probably not want to take other campers at the same time. Please be aware this is a working farm so the young people would have to stay on the campsite and not wander around the farm unattended for health and safety reasons.

Wendy, the new warden at Ferrar House, would welcome groups for overnight camps for D of E. The site will be a basic site, with access to toilets, but no showers. She wil ensure plenty of hot water for washing up, in bowls and litter bins provided. This is a small overnight only site, in a private setting for exclusive use. It gives great access to a very good footpath network, and lanes for cycling expeditions for areas west of Huntingdon, towards Northamptonshire and south towards Grafham.

They would consider groups of this type. Depending on the time of year they could probably accommodate groups of 25 or more.

They already accept small groups participating in the DofE. As this is a very small site, advance bookings cannot be accepted. They are however, always happy to accept any number of small tents when they have vacancies, a phone call a couple of days ahead would be advisable.

It is possible they could accommodate a party but specifics could only be discussed relating to the time of year and party size. Their ability to accept a group of a particular size changes really quickly throughout the year.

Duke of Edinburgh’s Award groups are accepted as long as they are well supervised and keep in mind there are other campers to consider. Each booking is determined separately as it depends on how busy the site already is and the space they can allocate. If it is quite a large group they can allocate your own area but again it depends on numbers and space. Up to 3 electric hook ups are available if needed.

This caravan and camping park does take DofE. It is a small park so can only take one group/school at anyone time. They can take large groups as long as they are supervised well and have the room at the time of the booking, as they are a popular site for camping when the weather is good.
